The name refers to the caves of Arjuna. According to Hindu mythology Arjuna practiced austerities to get Pashupata Ashtra or weapon from Lord Indra.


Hadimba Temple: This beautiful temple was built in 1553. Visit this four-story wooden Hadimba or Dhungiri and marvel at the splendid creation. This temple is famous for its exquisitely caved doorway. The interesting part is that it is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar. Jagatsukh: This is another religious place where you would love to visit. By Road: If you are a road rider you should know that the distance from Delhi via Mandi is 585 km, and from Shimla the distance is 270 km.
